Steveston Judo Club Invitational Collaborative Judo Tournament.

Tournament Site: Steveston Judo Club 4251 Moncton St, Richmond, BC.


Time: Sunday, December 15 at 9:30am

Purpose: To provide a competitive experience in a collaborative environment to aid in the development of local young competitors.

Entry Fee: $25.00 – We will have space and time for 100 competitors at this event.

Weigh-in: Honor System. Clubs should record competitor weights when submitting entry form. There will be a scale for spot checks should concerns arise.

We ask that Club Instructors verify the athlete’s weights.

Discrepancies between reported weights and actual weights may result in disqualification without refund.

Eligibility: All competitors must be in good standing with Judo BC prior to the tournament deadline of Dec. 15, 2019.

Minimum Rank will be White/Yellow Belt.

Maximum Rank will be Orange Belt.

Categories for U-10, U-12, and U-14.

Male and Female categories separate where possible.

U-10 may be mixed gender.

Competitors will be placed in groups of 5, by age and weight, as entries permit.

Elimination: Round Robin.

Contest Rules, Match Times and Divisions: As per Judo Canada tournament sanctioning policy. Matches will be officiated and scores called but not recorded. Wins will be recognized.

Every participant will receive a prize and awards will be presented to all competitors!

Entries must be received by 2 pm on Wednesday, Dec. 11, so we can make the divisions and distribute them to the coaches for approval before the event.

Warm up for U10 (2011-12): 9:30 am
U-10 (2011-12) start time competition: 10 am – 11 am

Warmup for U12 (2009-10): 11:am (Could start 10:45)
U-12 (2009-10): 11:15 am – 12:30 pm

Warm up U14: 12:30 pm (Could start 12:15pm)
U-14: 12:45 pm- 2 pm

U14 green belt and above can learn time keeping!
U16-U18-U21 can learn to referee!

Because this is a fundraising event there will be no refunds.
